Green Monday in Pissouri

After several years of postponements, "Green Monday " (the beginning of Lent) returned to Pissouri.

Hundreds of guests turned out in the Panorama area of the village. There was a huge variety of food and drinks on show. There was troupes of local dancers performing traditional Greek dances.

One of the traditions of the day is to fly colourful kites, our two kite pilots, Mandy  and Tania, had more than a few problems getting their kite airborne.

The Pissouriana hotel was the venue for Tania's birthday celebrations and St Patrick's day.

There was a large turnout and the Live music was performed by Chris Andre as the Guinness flowed.

It has to be said that Chris Andre is a very accomplished musician, he played an eclectic variety of music, ranging from classic rock tunes on electric guitar to traditional Irish music on his electric violin.

Mandy made a tasty cake for birthday girl who then after bowing out the candles took a huge bite out off said cake.
