2000 St Malo -France

It was an early start from Weymouth as we boarded the cross channel ferry and headed off to the French Port of St Malo for a day's visit. The crossing was quite rough and a number of people were ill on board.

Even though the winds were quite strong we enjoyed our walk around the walls of the town. We enjoyed a pleasent lunch in the old town before spending the afternoon exploring the town.

The return sailing was even rougher than the outgoing trip and the Captain was in two minds whether to attempt it, but with a bottle of Rum on the table we made it back to the UK.
