2000: Helsinki - Finland

On a beautiful afternoon we boarded the M/S Symphony (Silja Lines) at the port in Stockholm for our visit to Helsinki. We sailed through the beautiful Swedish archipelago as the sun set.

The next morning we docked in Helsinki and made our way to The Grand Marine Hotel. In the evening we took a tram into town and went to watch Dragon boat racing and a visit to a Cider garden.
We then made our way to the quayside to watch an impressive firework display.

The following day we took a tour of the City in an "old London bus". We visited the Temppeliaukio Church which is built into solid rock. We also visited a local flea market and passed a shipyard that was building a cruise ship.

We made the return ferry journey to Stockholm and spend several days enjoying the good weather in the Swedish Capital.
