The USA Honeymoon Road trip - Part 3

The Happy travellers enjoyed their visit to Santa Barbara so much that they extended their visit. They started the day with a breakfast at Dawn Patrol before hiring a couple of bikes and riding from Shoreline  Park to Butterfly beach, a round trip of about 9 miles. After a relaxing afternoon by the pool then enjoyed an amazing Mexican meal at Santo Mezcal.

Into the second week of the road trip and Lisa and Andrew arrived in Los Angeles. First up was to join a tour to see the celebrity houses in Beverley Hills, the Famous Hollywood sign. They then headed over to Hollywood Boulevard to check out the famous Star's signs.

They then stopped off at Ben and Jerry's for ice cream before driving over to Venice beach and walked along Muscle beach before heading back to Santa Monica for dinner.

The USA Honeymoon road Trip - Part 2

The Newlyweds left Carmel by the sea and headed to Monterey  where they joined a whale watching boat. They found it incredible to be so close to Whales, Dolphins and sea lions. After a late lunch at the Harbour they decided to stay locally in Pacific Grove.

Continuing to drive South on Route 1, which Lisa an Andrew found to be so scenic, after 3 hours they arrived in Cayucos. They passed through a small town where there were deer roaming free in people's front yard.






















 This Amazing road trip continued with a 3 hour drive to Santa Barbara, where Lisa and Andrew spent a day relaxing after 7 days on the road and exploring.

Jude turns 4 and another Anniversary

Our Gorgeous, little Jude turned 4 year of age this weekend and to celebrate his birthday his parents took him and his sister, Cari, to the Longleat Safari park in Wiltshire, UK.
The kids had a whale of a time, especially when the monkeys climbed over their car.

Mike and Tina kindly invited us to the Hideaway restaurant in Pissouri to help them celebrate their 46 th Wedding anniversary.  They had also invited a number of other guests and some good food and a few laughs made for a lovely night.

The USA Honeymoon road trip - Part 1

News reaches us from the USA about the first leg of Lisa and Andrew's road trip. The newlyweds flew into San Francisco  and their first stop was the cycle route that runs close to the Golden gate bridge.

The following day they picked up their hire car and headed towards North  Lake Tahoe  via Sacramento . The 214 mile drive passed through some stunning  scenery  and the were surprised  to find out that the temperature dropped  to 5 degrees  when they reached Tahoe.

The following day they woke to cloudless skies and drove around the shoreline of the lake stopping off to enjoy the superb scenery.  They left North Lake Tahoe and travelled the east coast of it until they got to Lee Vining, stopping en route at Walker County Store to fill up with gas... when they got to Lee Vining they had lunch and headed through the beautiful Yosemite National Park..

 After a lavish breakfast in their motel they  hit the road, heading for the coast. After a recommendation from locals they met last night,they  headed for Moss Landing where they saw sea lions on the harbour which was quite bizarre! Yet the Mexican food they had for lunch was amazing, the best fish tacos ever... they decided to head south to Carmel as the beach here is incredible! They  went to watch sunset on the beach and found a local barwith an amazing live singer.

Louise and Patricio's Wedding

We were kindly invited by Denise and Kelvin to their daughter's wedding. Louise married Patricio in the village of Kouklia, which is about a 12 minute drive from Pissouri.

The Venue was "Liopetro", which is set in beautiful grounds overlooking the sea.

The ceremony was held outside as the sun began to set. The guests then heard some very good speeches before enjoying a Sumptuous buffet. The happy couple then took to the dance floor for the first dance before the guests joined them to dance the night away.

We even saw The International Space Station, which flew over the night sky and could clearly be seen.

15th Wedding Anniversary

We celebrated our 15th Wedding anniversary today, so a night out was called for. Our first stop was the Panorama lounge in Pissouri, we had a couple of drinks and watched the sunset.

We then moved onto Micheal's Steakhouse, once again the food and service were superb.

We finished off the night with a visit to Nicos's rooftop birthday party, which was held at his house in Pissouri.

After a slow start to the day we met up with the Cool kids and Sarah and Lee and headed over to The Mountain view Ranch which lies just outside Caerphilly. 











The Ranch has lots of play areas, picturesque walks, a few animals and is well laid out. The kids has great fun and we were lucky with the weather  as the sun shone for most of the afternoon. 

All too soon our short whistle stop visit comes to an end, but we have so many wonderful memories to take back with us. 

The Day after a Great Wedding

After a very good breakfast at the Ewenny farm guesthouse, we packed our bags and  headed towards Cardiff .

We had a relaxing afternoon before making our way over to Llandaff area of the City. We once again met the newly married couple in the Traders tapas bar.

We then popped over to The Bayleaf Indian restaurant with Pat and Cheryl for a superb curry.
Just as postscript,  I have to mention the beautiful pair of cufflinks that Lisa gave to me before yesterday's wedding,  a very touching gift.
