Great News reach us from our Old football club, Cardiff City,after several years of acrimony between the Club's owner and the Club's fanbase/supporters over the change from our traditional Blue colours to hated the Red strip
Today the owner decided to revert the club back to Blue and reinstate the Bluebird badge.


One Young Bluebird in Cyprus Celebrates the News.
The New Year started with heavy storms lashing the Island of Cyprus. Pissouri itself was battered by high winds and torrential rain for two days.
The Troodos mountain region experienced freezing temperatures and heavy snowfall.
The Limassol area was hit by flash floods
Wishing you all a Happy and healthy New Year. Its hard to believe that we are starting the tenth year of this blog, it only seems like yesterday that we began planning and writing about living in Cyprus. How time flies by.
Its been a bit of a rollercoaster ride but we realise how lucky we have been to enjoy this part of our lives. Well thats enough of looking back, its time to look forward to this new year.
The week started with a trip to Limassol to the "My Mall" shopping center.

Mandy wanted to join the era of the smartphone, and so after looking at a number of models she selected the Samsung Galaxy core.

On Wednesday we made out way down to The Vineleaf restaurant in Pissouri bay where they are now serving traditional Fish and Chips.
The Yialos tavern was the venue for a "Barry White" tribute act. The Soul man performed an outstanding set and soon had the crowd on it feel with all the old hits.

This week the village council began work on a new drainage system that is being installed just below our house. The drainage is needed to control the flow flow of rainwater which in the past has caused subsidence in the area.
