A visit to Malta

Dusting down our old passports we decided to make our first trip off the island of Cyprus for nearly two and a half years.

We left Pissouri on a cold , stormy morning and Arthur dropped us off at Paphos airport.

We had to abide by the new check in rules of showing our passenger location and vaccination forms at the departure desk.

We then boarded a Ryanair flight to the Island of Malta. The flight of two hours and twenty minutes had less than 40 passengers so there was plenty of elbow room.

We landed at Luqa airport in Malta and were met at the airport by our driver, Dean, who took the short drive to our apartment in the Sliema district of Malta.

The weather when we landed at Malta was similar to Cyprus,  rain with a cold wind. We dropped off our cases and walked over to the waterfront and  went into the Fortizza restaurant . This was a lucky find because the staff were welcoming , the menu extensive and food was very good.

In the early evening the weather cleared up and we took a walk along the seafront overlooking St Julian's bay.

We ended up at a quirky little bar called "The Hole in the wall", we had a couple of drinks before heading  home for an early night.
