On a bright and breezy day in Cyprus, we made our way to Paphos Airport for our flight to the Greek island of Rhodes. The Ryanair flight took just under an hour and offered wonderful views of the Turkish coastline along the way.
After landing, we were met by our driver and transferred to the Athena Hotel in Rhodes Town. Once we had dropped off our cases, we headed out for a stroll down to the harbour. We were slightly surprised by just how many tourists were milling about the area.
We stopped at the Avocado restaurant, where we enjoyed a very good meal served by a pleasant and helpful waiter. Unfortunately, a light shower of rain soon arrived, cutting short our walk along the seafront.
Back at the hotel, which seemed especially popular with Scandinavian visitors, we settled in with a couple of drinks before calling it a night.
