World cup fever arrived in Pissouri when England faced Germany, a large crowd gathered at the Pissourriana to watch the Game.
A good atmosphere between the fans made for an enjoyable afternoon.

Vraka restaurant re opens
We attended the opening of the newly refurbished Vraka bar/restaurant in Pissouri village square. Haris and his family gave all their guests a warm welcome with an evening of complimentary food and drink.
The old Vraka building has been gutted and a new modern interior and courtyard makes an impressive addition to the square.

This weekend, Marilyn and Terry were kind enough to invite us to their lovely home for a BBQ, they live on the outskirts of the village and the guests enjoyed some wonderful food as they watched helicopters drop water to dowse a fire in the distance.
Marilyn originally hails from Cardiff, so there was plenty to talk about regarding the old Home City.
