The Platea & The Pissouri Nutters

The Platea restaurant in Pissouri has just started doing a 3 course tradition Sunday lunch which has proved very popular with the locals, thanks to "cook Mandy" . We can recommend the food as we went there this past Sunday.

The "Pissouri Nutters" continue to train for next Month's Legion run and are collecting sponsorship for funds towards the village's Nursery.

Moon's Kitchen

Along with Jane, Arthur, Steve and Mary we made our way down to The Moonlight Taverna for a night of Moon's Vietnamese Kitchen. Moon prepared several tasty dishes of traditional Vietnamese food.

It was also a chance to celebrate Arthur's Big Birthday.

Two Birthdays, A Hike along Cape Aspro

Another birthday rolled around for Rob, as friends gathered in The Pissourianna bar to wish the old fella well. It was also Karen's birthday and as coincidence, Rob and Karen were born on the same day in the same year.

On a gorgeous February morning, Rob along with Steve and Martin completed a 10 km hike around the Cape Aspro area. This area lies just outside our village of Pissouri and has stunning views in all directions.

A Dry Winter and Moon's Vietnamese Kitchen Nights.

On our return to Cyprus we have noticed the lack of rain we have had this Winter, at the time of writing we have been told that the resivoirs are about 50% full.
The forecast for February does not hold out much hope for rainfall.

Later this month the Moonlight taverna have planned "Moons Vietnamese Kitchen nights",  both nights have sold out in under a week.

Friday brought an electrical power cuts as EAC workers began a 12-hour strike to protest government plan to privatise the organisation
State telecoms CyTA and ports authority staff are on a 24-hour strike for the same reason.
