Cape Aspro and a Queen Tribute band

We took a drive along the Cape Aspro coastline, the colours in the sea were absolutely stunning. We try to never forget how lucky we are to have this beautiful scenery on our doorstep.

In the evening we our made way down to the Pissouri ampitheartre to watch "Majesty Queen", a tribute to the old rock band, Queen. We all agreed that they were a wonderful act and keep the crowd Rocking for a couple of Hours.

Guess what ? ..... Its still hot !

The high temperatures persist in Cyprus and it was announced that last weekend was the highest recorded temperatures in July for 30 years.

To cool of we took the 10 minute drive down to Melanda beach, the water was beautifully clear and refreshing and Robin and Rob enjoyed the snorkeling.

We then made our way over to the Kyrenia beach restaurant for dinner, at which Robin polished off a huge bowl of Stifado and we then watched a beautiful sunset.

Robin flies into Cyprus to be met by High temperatures

Mandy's son, Robin, flew into Cyprus from Sweden and coming from the mild weather of  Stockholm to the blazing heat of Cyprus was a shock to the system because the  temperatures rose  today to 37 degrees C/ 98 F in the daytime and only dipped slightly at night. Clouds of humidity could be seen rolling into Pissouri from the sea.

At one point the temperature in the house hit 38 degrees C and even melted the wax on the table candles. In the Cypriot capital of Nicosa, the temperature soared to 43 degree C.

In the evening we drove down to the Grape and Grain for  cooling drink and to listen to the singer Amie Flack.
