Paphos Football Club ant the Aphrodite trail.

On a brisk evening,  Rob joined Pete, Kelvin and Bob and drove over to the football stadium to watch the game between Pafos FC against Aris Limassol.

The first job of the evening was for Rob to get his official Cypriot supporters card. We then bought our tickets for the bargain price of 10 euros each.

It was an entertaining game but Pafos missed a hatful of chances and the game ended 1-1. The Cypriot supporters are certainly passionate about their football with drums banging and waving their huge flags added to the atmosphere.

The following morning we awoke to a beautiful February morning so we took the 15 minute drive to the Aphrodite trail. A pathway that runs alongside the coastline with stunning views of the Mediterranean and the coast.

Mandria coastal walk and Another Birthday rolls around.

Another birthday rolled around for Rob, we enjoyed a Sunday lunch with a glass of wine at The Hillview restaurant and Mandy baked a Walnut and coffee cake for the birthday boy. The Cool kids sent their best wishes from the UK.

On a beautiful Winter's day we took the short drive over to the village of Mandria. We took a stroll along the coast with views of the shimmering sea, the lush agricultural fields with the snow capped Troodos mountains in the background.

We then popped into the village square to enjoy a coffee in the warm sunshine.

Storm Barbara

The storm named "Barbara" hit the Island of Cyprus this week bringing heavy winds, rain, hail stones and cold night time temperatures.

We also felt the effects of the massive earthquake that devastated parts of Turkey and Syria.

Then on a Very cold Wednesday evening we made our way down to "The Two Friends" taverna to celebrate Elaine's birthday.

We enjoyed a fine meal  and then met up with several long term  Pissouri residents who we had not met before including a ship's pilot who works out of the Port of Limassol.
