A Walk near Timi

On a beautiful Sunday morning,  we decided to go for a walk around the Timi area which is a 15 minute drive West of Pissouri. We started off at the Chapel of Saint Vryaini and made our way down towards the sea passing through lush agricultural fields.

We the made our way down to the beach, which at this time of year is covered in seaweed. We walked until we reached the Filiotis Fish Tavern. We then headed back to the where we began for a coffee break in the shade of the church.

Ease of restrictions and A birthday Lunch by the sea.

This week the Cypriot government announced an easing  of the Covid 19 restrictions. Amongst the new rules bars and restaurants will now be allowed to serve customers in an outdoor setting.

The meeting of groups of  friends has been relaxed as well as an easing of the nighttime curfew.

Taking advantage of the easing of restrictions we helped Jane celebrate her birthday with friends at Melanda beach restaurant. It was slightly surreal to visit a restaurant after these past few months in partial Lockdown

A superb setting next to the sea, some good friends and some quality fish dishes made for a lovely afternoon.

St David's Day, Avdimou beach and Strong guys

First of All, we like to our Welsh friends a very Happy St David's day.

We saw off the month of February with a walk along the Avdimou coastline. The weather was superb and the country side looked a picture and the sun sparkled off the sea.
