BBQ time and an Old Iron Cross

Summer finally arrives in Cyprus and its time to get out the BBQ.  Thanks to the tips from Ben our Australian BBQ expert our first attempt was a roaring success.
As the temps rise through the Summer months we hope to do a lot more outdoor cooking.

Searching through some old boxes I came across this 1939 Nazi Iron Cross medal, I remember getting it as a kid from a customer in my Grandfather's pub.
I made some online enquiries and found out some of its history.

4.4 Earthquake & Lisa's New Job

A earthquake measuring a  magnitude of 4.4 hit Cyprus today around 1.45pm. The center of the quake was measured 12k West of Akrotiri. I personally felt the house shake for several seconds here in Pissouri.

Sports and Ice cream

The weekend started with  trip down to the village square and a table at Vraka to watch the F.A.Cup final.

Remaining on the sports theme, News reaches us that a new Sports bar is due to open in the village, we await with interest.

On lovely Spring day Sunday we drove over to Fasouri flea  market in  a fruitless search of a bamboo curtain and then we  joined a number of friends and went over to the Kyrena beach restaurant for Sunday lunch.

Amelia munched her way through an ice cream as a acrobatic display was held on the beach.

Moving Home with all that Vinyl

After 5 years of living in our apartment we have decided its time for a move. Our new home in Pissouri is a bungalow with stunning views over Akrotiri bay.

Boxes, boxes, boxes..... all to be packed and moved to our new home.
As Mandy says "Rob, you've got all these bloody LP records and you have'ent even got a record player"
But hey, this Vinyl is the soundtrack of my Life.

A heartfelt "Thank You" to Alan, Paul, Steve, Jan and Debs for all their help with our move, you made it so much easier.
