A walk in May, between the Showers.

Well the Month of May certainly went out with a bang,  at  Midnight a huge electrical storm hit the village  and we have had heavy rain showers on and off today, very unusual weather for Cyprus in May.

When the showers cleared it was time to take a stroll, just 50 meters/yards from our home and we are in the countryside with stunning views towards the Troodos mountains.

KB Beach with Jill and Pete

On a lovely Sunday afternoon we were lucky enough to help Pete and Gill celebrate their wedding anniversary with a splendid lunch down at Kyrena beach restaurant.

Miss Debonair

This Friday we made our way down to Stella's restaurant in Pissouri village for an early dinner.









We then strolled up to the 1911 club to watch the entertaining drag show performed by Miss Debonair.

Pergolas and Bowls

On a very warm Sunday, we took a trip over to Erimi bowls club to attend their open day along with Sheena and Bryan. We started off with a few bowling lessons on the green, we then enjoyed a couple of refreshing drinks before sitting down to a tasty BBQ. In the afternoon we took part in several fun competitions laid on by the members in which you could win bottles of wine for hitting various targets.

In Midweek, Rob took a trip up to the hills above Pissouri to help a friend erect two pergolas, the only drawback was the screaming jet fighters flying overhead as part of a military exercise.

A New Home and Janice's Birthday

We were invited to Janice' Birthday Bash organised by Bob and Linda who once again laid on a superb spread. With some live singing, a highland piper and a great atmosphere a great night was had by all. I almost forgot to mention that Pissouri's latest band, "Broken biscuits" made and impromptu appearance.

We have finally moved into our new home which overlooks a small Olive grove.

and as if to greet us to our new home, we watched a wonderful sunset from the balcony and a full Moon rose at the front of the house.

Beach BBQ

Taking a break from unpacking  the boxes and setting up in our new home, we took a trip to Melanda beach for a BBQ. There was a huge variety of dishes to enjoy and we spent a very relaxing day on the coast.
