The Firebirds at Halloween and a walk in the Park.

On a Stormy night we joined a number of friends  and made our way over to the Bonamare bar in Timi to see the Firebirds Rock and Roll show.

As an electrical storm raged outside as the band played a couple of hours of classic rock and roll song. The Bonamare bar was decorated in a Halloween theme and with the flashes of lightening outside this added to the atmosphere.

Back in the UK, Cari and Jude had a lovely family day out at a local park.

Autumn rains and Lisa's Welsh women's Ad SEED Campaign

After a long, hot Summer the clouds are gathering for the first rains of the Autumn which are forecast to arrive later today.

Rob's cousin, Lisa, made the National News (UK) this week when she finally found justice involving a case of campaign of Psychological abuse.
Lisa is now involved with Welsh Women's Aid SEEDS - Survivors Empowering and Education Services.











After a few heavy downpours in Pissouri, the clouds cleared  and we were kindly invited by Jan for "drinks and nibbles" on here patio. With a beautiful sunset in the background we were joined by several friends for a lovely evening of laughter.

Ma Flav's 70th Birthday Bash and a Rumtoff kick.

Ma Flav celebrated her 70th birthday with a party at a local social club in Cardiff (UK.) Friends and family turned out to help Pat mark this milestone and the guests partied until 1.00am.

Sunday saw us hosting a dinner for a few friends, for dessert   Mandy made a superb Lemon cheesecake and to accompany it we cracked open the Rumtoff that had been brewing for the last few months....Wowser, it had a kick to it.

Ma Flavs 70th birthday Dinner

To Celebrate Pat's upcoming 70th birthday we took her over the Hillview restaurant n Pissouri for Sunday lunch.

Afterwards, we met up with the rest of  the Welsh ladies at the Grape and Grain and listened to the singing of Michael Antoniou. All to soon it was time to say Goodbye to our visitors from Cardiff as they made they way back to the UK.

Friday evening found us down in Pissouri bay. Our first stop was the "Pissouri bay Cafe" for drinks and dinner, we then popped over to  the "Grape and Grain" to listen to the singer Andi Hobbs.

The Girls arrive and Jo's 50th Birthday Party

Lisa and Pat along with seven of their friends flew into Cyprus from the UK for a week's holiday. One of the party, "Scousey Jo" was celebrating he 50th birthday, so a pool party with Phil doing the Kareoke was organised at the villa the girls were hiring.

Silly Cow at Emba Theatre

Along with a number of villagers we made our way over to the Stage One Theatre in Emba, which is just outside Paphos, to see a production of "Silly Cow".   Sadly, we were both very disappointed with the play, we thought that it was so slow and tedious that we left after the first act.

Luckily, we found a warm welcome at the Tsiokkas Taverna close by and enjoyed a light meal and a couple of drinks on their patio that overlooks the local church (Panagias Chryseleousis) which was beautifully lit up.

A Tea party and the Troodos trip Video

On a beautiful October afternoon, the Pine bay club was the venue for a  Tea party. With a live singer and wide selection of sandwiches and cakes a good afternoon was had by all. The event was organised as a fund raiser for the BARC and freedom dog sanctuary and raised over 860 euros for the charity.
