Mandy's Birthday at The Hillview

 To Celebrate Mandy's birthday we were joined by a few friends at The Hillview restaurant in Pissouri.

The guests enjoyed a few drinks, a superb Sunday lunch and more that a few giggles.

A big "Thank you" to all the staff of the Hillview who made Mandy's day special.

Melanda Plateau, Rain clouds and a Birthday drink in Pafos

 The Gloomy weather continues in Cyprus, but between the showers we managed to get a walk in up at Melanda Plateau. The views of Pissouri bay and Pissouri village are beautiful from the Plateau.

A short drive away drive away we watched the rain clouds gather over the Mediterranean.

To celebrate Mandy's birthday we took a trip to the town of Paphos, which is about 30km from Pissouri. We enjoyed a lovely stroll along the seafront and harbour before heading off for drinks and lunch. Mandy tried out a new cocktail, a Negroni Sbagliato, which she enjoyed.

Rains and an Earthquake

 Well the new year in Cyprus started with several days of torrential rain and electrical storms. This was followed on Monday morning with the Island being hit with a 6.3 earthquake who epicenter was just East of the town of Paphos.

We were awoken in the early hours of the morning by the house moving in quite a worrying fashion caused by the quake, Thankfully no damage was caused.

To Blow away the new year cobwebs we took a trip to Pissouri Bay to watch the waves rolling in.
