Final Beach Day

We joined Sarah, Cari and Jude on their final full day in Cyprus when we drove back down to Geriskipou beach. 

We once again blessed with glorius weather as we swam in the sea and played beach games.

We also dressed up in our Christmas outfits as we pretended in was the Kids Christmas in Cyprus.

All too soon it was time to take them back to the airport, it's never easy saying our goodbyes and a few tears were shed, but we all agreed that we had enjoyed a wonderful holiday.

The Glass bottom boat

 Another day, Another Adventure. This morning we travelled down to Paphos harbour, we first visited a craft workshop and then enjoyed an ice cream overlooking the Castle. 

We then boarded the Super Jumbo glass bottom boat and sailed out to a ship wreck and Jude and Cari viewed the remains through the bottom of the boat.

 Next was a small reef where we searched for natural sponges on the sea bottom. 

We managed a quick swim in the sea before heading back to port.

We then drove over to Riccos bar on Geriskipou beach for some lunch and another swim.

We the returned to Pissouri  for an evening of craft and curry. 

Apesia Donkey sanctuary and Kivides market

 Another hot day in Cyprus and we drove up to the village of Apesia which lies North East of Pissouri. 

We visited the small zoo and donkey sanctuary. We wandered around the small zoo which is set in spectacular surroundings of the local forest and valleys. 

The kids the stopped off at the play area and to make friends with a friendly and beautiful cat.

We then walked up to the Donkey pen where Jude and Cari fed the animals with carob pods. 

Then they saddled up a young donkey so that  Cari could go for a short trek up the hillside, it was something that Cari truly loved doing. 

Leaving the sanctuary we stopped off at the coffee shop in the village of Apesia for a frappe and ice cream.

We then headed over to the village of Kivides to visit their market, first stop was the Hotdog stand. 

We took a wander around the stalls and the kids got glitter tattoos. The final activity was when Cari and Jude entered the balloon tunnel to end a fun filled day.

Another Beach day in Pissouri

 Jude and Cari along with their mum woke up to blue skies and sunshine, so we met them down at the beach in Pissouri bay.

The sea temperature was perfect and the kids spent a lot of time swimming in the sea. The adults also braved the water.

In the evening, Rob was on babysitting duty, the kids watched the movie "Home"and did lots of drawing. 

Mandy and Sarah went to the Vineleaf tavern to watch a Micheal Buble tribute show performed by Luke Hingley. They both agreed that it was a superb show and a terrific night out.

A Day in Limassol

 We drove from Pissouri to the town of Limassol. Our first stop was the small municipal zoo. The kids loved seeing the animals especially the small monkeys. 

We then walked over to the park and playground area where Jude and Cari enjoyed all the rides and climbing frames.

We then strolled over to the seafront, where we enjoyed lunch next to the sea and the Jude and Cari made drawings in the sand.

Our final stop was at Kyrenia beach, where Sarah Mandy enjoyed a glass of wine while Rob watched the kids swimming in the sea and a beautiful sunset.
