On Boxing day we took a trip out to the seaside town of Porthcawl, a cold wind was blowing in from the Seven Estuary so we popped into the amusement arcade so that Jude and Cari could have some fun.
Lee and Rob then popped into the Royal Oak pub in Cardiff, which is a real old traditional pub, for a swift pint before Rob returned to Cyprus.
Our Christmas day in Cardiff started with a visit to the local pub, The Railway Inn. They was a lovely atmosphere and the locals and the staff made us welcome.
Then is was back home for a glass of wine and a wonderful, traditional Christmas dinner that Andrew had prepared.
Jude and Cari had an exciting morning opening their gifts from Santa.
There was huge excitement as it was time for unwrapping Christmas gifts for Jude and Cari
I am not sure who has the most fun, the adults or the kids.
Back in cyprus, Mandy attended a Birthday party for Mary. The day started with drinks at The Bay bar and then the guests had a lovely meal at The Saffron Indian restaurant before a visit to The Pissouriana.
Meanwhile back in Cardiff, Lee and Rob popped into the Royal Oak, which is a traditional old pub with lots of character and characters.
The following day Rob took a walk over to one of Cardiff's many parks, Llandaff fields. Rob was glad that he packed his thermals because there was a cutting wind.
On a mild, calm evening, Rob took the Easyjet flight from Paphos to Bristol, UK. The flight took 4 hours 50 mins and despite a strong headwind, it was a comfortable ride.
It was a different type of weather that greeted him after the flight. A drop in temperature and a driving sleet made for a challenging descent down the aircraft stairs.
The following morning, Rob caught the coach from Bristol Airport to Cardiff. The 90 minute run went smoothly, especially with the fast WiFi on board to pass away the time.
His cousin, Lee, was waiting for him at the coach station with a welcoming cup of coffee and bacon roll.
They both headed off to pick up Jude and Cari at their school, both kids were excited to see Rob, plus the fact it was the last day at school before the Christmas holidays.
In the evening we all trooped over to the Plymouth Arms pub in St Fagans to see a small choir singing Christmas carols.
