Pete's quiz and a visit to The More social.

 The weekend started with Pete's Quiz at the Pissouriana hotel, there was a very good turn out with about 15 tables of teams. 

There were a lot of good humoured banter especially at Pete's pronounciation of Welsh place names. As added bonus,  our team, "The Misfits", somehow came in first position by one point. 

On Saturday we drove over to the village of Kouklia to visit the "More Social " taverna with Pete and Tania. The taverna sits in the heart of the village square.

 We had heard how good the sharing platters were so bad decided to try one out, it was very good. The ladies also tried out  a Tiki Puka Puka cocktail which turned out to be quite fiery. 

Ingredients of Puka cocktail. 

 2 oz. white rum

 1 oz. fresh lime juice

 3⁄4 oz. dark Jamaican rum

 3⁄4 oz. fresh orange juice

 3⁄4 oz. pineapple juice

 3⁄4 oz. passion fruit syrup

 2 tsp. honey mixed with 2 tsp. hot water, chilled

 1⁄4 oz. falernum

 1 dash Angostura bitters

 3⁄4 oz. 151-proof rum from The Bahamas. 

Glass making lesson and the Paphos path.

 Along with a couple of friends, Mandy drove over to Paphos for a glass on glass mosaic class.

The ladies enjoyed their outdoor class, especially in the warm Spring sunshine. 

We returned to Paphos for a walk along the refurbished seafront path. On a beautiful Spring morning  it was a joy to stroll and smell the salt air and see all the springtime flowers blooming.
