Deb's Birthday and Abbadabbadoo

The tribute band Abbadabbadoo came to Pissouri and  entertained a full house with their rendition of all those fabulous Abba tunes.
The band soon had the crowd at the Yialos tavern in Pissouri bay on their feet.

Debs and Colin were kind enough to invite us around to their house for a bbq to celebrate Deb's birthday. Happy Birthday Debs ! ...and well done Col for your top notch cooking.

Floods, The Draw and a Trip to Larnaca

The Lads of Pissouri went on a weekend trip to Larnaca to celebrate 4D's upcoming 50th Birthday. They mixed with the Locals, did a bit of sight seeing, strolled along the Waterfront and had a couple of refreshing drinks.

As the first heavy rains this Autumn hits Pissouri the main road into the village turns into a small river.

We also suffered Electrical cuts as a general fault  occurred at at Vasilikos Power station and affected many areas Island wide.

Meanwhile, down at the Giraffe pub a draw was held to decide who shared with who on the forthcoming trip to Larnaca to celebrate Fordy's BIG 50th Birthday.

A visit to Anfield

News reaches us from the UK of Robin and Johan's trip to Liverpool. They toured this famous old city and then came the main event, a visit to the World famous Anfield, home of Liverpool F.C.

The lads watched an enthralling game topped off with two superb goals as Newcastle United snatched a 1-1 draw.

Bonfire Night

A larger than usual crowd turned out on a very mild night to enjoy the Bonfire night celebrations down at Lemmings beach in Episkopi. A traditional bonfire was lit on the beach and then the crowd were entertained by a superb firework show.

On Sunday we popped down to the 1911 club which has been closed for refurbishment and taken over by new management.

Six Years in Cyprus and Halloween

Alan and Tracie organised a Halloween party at their house and there were  some really good costumes , a lovely atmosphere and some wonderful food.

  

 

This coming weekend we celebrate living in Cyprus for 6 years, we cannot believe how quickly the years have passed away.

The Countdown Continues

As we quickly countdown the days to Scuba Steve's BIG Birthday we release the brand new Ad for this Groundbreaking Landmark.

Elvis and Elton in The House

Along with Tracie and Alan we went down to the Yialos restaurant in Pissouri Bay to watch the Elvis and Elton tribute act. Chris King put on his usual superb show as Elvis and Andrew Oliver was a wizard on the Piano.

   Mandy joined Elton on stage for a duet.

Viv and Tony's Wedding party

Viv and Tony kindly invited us to their Wedding party at The Hillview restaurant in Pissouri. A superb meal was enjoyed by the guests who were also entertained with some live music.

Each table at the venue was provided with packets of balloons with a prize going to the most creative entry.

There was also a quiz organised using marriage as its theme, after a close finish we were greatly surprised to find that our team (The New Romantics.)  had actually won. All those wine bottles on the table were the prize.

Sunday Lunch and Tanith's Parachute Jump

Along with Mary and Steve we made our way to the Town of Paphos for Sunday lunch. Our destination was the Gustoso restaurant which is on the Tomb of the kings road. We all agreed that the standard and choice of food was excellent and the value for money was  superb.

We then headed home to Pissouri and enjoyed a couple of Sundowners in The Pissouriana hotel.

News reaches us from the UK that Tanith completed a 14,000ft parachute jump for the Charity "Cash for kids".  Great effort Tanith !

The long road to 4D's 50th Birthday

Today, we begin the Long and winding road towards Fordy's 50th Birthday. The first event will be a "Guys" weekend in Larnaca and to make sure that each individual is teamed up with a partner a Grand draw is taking place at The Giraffe pub in Pissouri. Here at ANLPIC we will be running a series of online Ads to celebrate this Huge Landmark for Dr Ford.

Scuba Steve took Robin, Johan and Rob,  Scuba diving in Pafos, the guys are still wondering how Rob managed to  jam his leg and lose a fin swimming underwater !

In the evening we trundled down to Pissouri square for a bite to eat at Stella Corner grill and then watched the entertainment of Cyprus night.

Rock in the Amphitheatre

The sound of Rock came to Pissouri as the show "Legends of Rock" came to the village. A large crowd gathered in the Amphitheatre to watch the tribute acts of  Dire Straits, The Eagles, Madonna and Elton John.

One of the evening's guests was Pissouri's own "Cowboy John" and his horse "Sunny" who made an appearance on stage during the song "Desperado"

4D was up to his usual tricks, he was drinking chocolate beer and eating Quiche, a strange combo, but whatever floats your boat.
