For this years's Bonfire night we went down to the beach at Episkopi, there was a huge turnout for this annual event. A military band played a selection of well known tunes as the kids danced around withtheir "glow in the dark" bracelets.
The Hot dog stand did a roaring trade (as well as the bar) as the large bonfire with its traditional Guy Fawkes effigies was set alight. Then the main part of the evening began as a superb firework display lit up the night time sky.

A group of 12 of us from Pissouri drove down to the village of Mandria, our first stop was to the local fish and chip restaurant for dinner, we then headed down to the Mandria beach bar.
There was a good crowd down at the bar to watch local singer "Stevie D" perform a selection of classic songs with her powerful voice.

Lisa and Adam flew in from Cardiff (UK) for a weeks holiday in Cyprus, they landed at Paphos airport in the middle of large electrical storm, thankfully by the following morning the skies had cleared and we drove over to Kyrena beach, enjoyed a good lunch and made a silly “Benny hill” video on the beach, due for release in December.

We went down to Pissouri Square to see the weekly “Cyprus night” show, a good night was had by all, but we won’t mention the Balcony incident…You know who you are !

Zouvenia at Pachna
We took the short drive up to the village of Pachna for Sunday lunch at Linos Tavern. Lunch was served on a vine-covered terrace with great views of the valley that sweeps down to the sea.
After the lunch the owner brought us a bottle of the local zouvenia, strong stuff that is drunk with raisins.
