Our friend Maria flew in from Birmingham, UK to attend a wedding, so she took the chance to visit Pissouri.
Along with Steve and Mary we went to Melanda beach for lunch.
On the way back to Pissouri we popped into the Columbia hotel for a couple of Sundowners.

To celebrate Tracy's 40th birthday , she and Davey hosted a party at their house, the theme of the part was school disco. School games were organised including, pass the parcel, three legged race and a sack race around the pool.

A hike from Aphrodite's Rock to Geriskipou beach
Steve and I decided to hike from Aphrodite's Rock to Geriskipou beach, which is just outside the town of Paphos. We estimated that this is a distance of about 23 Kilometres. Our object was not to touch Tarmac and stay as close as possible to the sea.
The hike started off at the Aphrodite nature trail with a good path, but this ran out and we soon found ourselves scrambling across rocks and beds of sea grass. We also passed through Lemon groves and fields of wheat.
We passed a number of places including a desalination plant, a fish farm and some odd concrete bunker. We moved onto Mandria for a brief stop in Tony's beach bar.

Hiking the Plataniskia area
Steve and I set out in search of Tripimemes Petres (Pierced Monolinths), these great standing stones are supposed to be in the Anoyira/Plataniskia area.
Setting off from the village of Anoyria we hiked South towards the Village of Ayios Thomas taking in the spectacular views across to Akrotiri. We then turned West heading toward the village of Plataniskia but saw no sign of the stones. After a lunchbreak in Plataniskia we headed North, taking a different route towards Anoyria.
We never did find the Pierced stones but we did find a friendly horse and an old Morris 1300 !
