On Saturday evening we went down to Pissouri square and made our way to the Platea tavena, the menu for the evening was a chinese style buffert. The entertainment was provided by singer, Kirsty Dewer.
Pissouri's so called "Christmas tree" (now nicknamed the Christmas cone ) was erected in the village square this week and its been something of a talking point amongst the villagers, a lot of people think that our village council don't make as much effort as other Cypriot villages.
Next Month we hold the village council elections, so there could be some major changes.
Its always nice to get some positive feedback on the blog and this week we had a lovely one from Expat Focus.com

Sunday Lunch in the Mountains
On a beautiful Sunday morning we took a drive upto the foothills of the Troodos. As we drove into the area we noticed the wonderful Autumnal colours of the trees.
Our first stop was the village of Trimiklini where we stopped of to check out the local market with its assortment of fruit and fresh honey followed by a Cypriot coffee break.
We then moved onto the "Green valley" waterfall, a foliage covered path takes you down to the waterfall which is set in a shaded area but not that high.
The village of Vouni was our next port of call and we spent a short time wandering through the narrow streets of this picturesque village.
It was now time for lunch so we headed down to the Takis taverna. We had a warm welcome and sat down for a lovely 14 dishes meze which included.

Youtube channel, Supermoon, Water shortages
This week we made a trailer for our Youtube channel.
Clear skies over Cyprus gave us the chance to see this Month's "Supermoon" and take some photo's from our balcony.
Reports in the local press voice concerns of the levels of water in the Cypriot reservoirs with fears of water shortages. Rainfall this year has been recorded at only a third of usual levels. Lets hope we get a wet Winter in Cyprus.

On a gorgeous Autumn Sunday, we made our way over to Melanda hieghts to visit a new restauarant called S.E.K. Yotia and her team were very welcoming and they served up a very tasty Lunch buffet.

Storm and Coastal walk
Well November started with a bang as a huge storm hit Cyprus in the early hours of the morning. The storm rolled in from the Island of Crete and hit Cyprus about 11 pm with high winds and driving rain. Thankfully most of the damage was superficial and soon cleaned up.
For Jane and Louise's final night in Cyprus we took then along to the Kyrena Beach restaurant for a fish dinner, they both agreed that they had enjoyed their first trip to Cyprus and looked forward to returning to the Island.
The Following Sunday we returned to warm (27 degrees) and sunny weather, so we took the opportunity to take a 7 and half mile walk along the Western coast of Cyprus.
