On a beautiful, January morning we drove East towards Limassol before heading North towards the Troodos mountains. We got off the beaten track and drove on the very quiet F812. This road takes in some dramatic scenery as it passes through the villages of Korfi, Kapilio and Agios Mama.
We then stopped off at Trimiklini double bridge before climbing over the Troodos to the village of Pelentri.
The village was very quiet at this time of year but we did stop of for our picnic at a site overlooking The Holy church of the Holy cross.
Driving back to Trimiklini we took another side road, the E802 to Pera Pedi. We then joined the E803 which follows Krios valley and there are some superb views on this road and a host of wineries. One standout view looks down on the village of Vouni.
We then carried on driving south towards Pachna and home to Pissouri after a very enjoyable day out.
