We have just been informed that from Monday 26th April, Cyprus will return to full lockdown, due to the rising number of Covid 19 cases across the island.
People will allowed outside once a day and curfew will be from 9pm go 5am. Bars, restaurants, hairdressers, gyms etc will be closed. These measures are due to last until mid May. This is the third time that the country has been put into Lockdown since the pandemic began.
On Friday evening, Mandy took some shots of a glorious sunset.
This week Rob went for his first Covid 19 vaccination jab at the “Spyros Kyprianou” Athletic Center sports centre in Limassol. The process was quick, efficient and painless, although the following day he did suffer some mild side effects, such as sore joints and tiredness.
Our Easter Sunday began with a walk in the local countryside, the weather was a very pleasant 19 degrees C. We are so lucky to have this right on our doorstep.
The one thing we do notice on our walks it the lack of planes flying into Pafos airport. Pissouri lies directly on the flight path and Sunday's used to be quite busy with incoming flights.
We the returned home to share a dinner of roast lamb with a couple of friends. We then learned that we are due to have our first Covid 19 jab later this week.
This week we were kindly invited to Tina's 60th birthday party held at the Delizie bar in Pissouri. As thunder, lighting and hail poured down outside as the guests enjoyed the tasty food.
The following day the clouds cleared and we took a lovely walk around the countryside that surrounds Pissouri. We both agree that Springtime is our favourite time of year in Cyprus.
